How do I get sterted?
The process is simple. You send an email to our design center letting us know what type of piece you want carved. You can send in your item (such as a gunstock) or we can purchase something for you and create the piece from start to finish.
How long does it take?
Because your piece is hand carved, it takes between 4-6 weeks from start to finish.
How much does it cost to have my piece of art designed and crafted?
Each piece is unique. You're in charge of how much detail goes into your piece of art. When you send an email to our design center, please include as much detail as possible as to what you want and your price parameters. You will receive personalized attention and personalized designs from our artist Rick Seward.
How can I pay?
Personal checks are accepted in the USA as well as money orders. Additionally, for your convenience you may use your credit card through the pay pal system. Just click on the buy now button located on the homepage and it will walk you through the steps. In countries other than the USA, I can only accept credit cards through the above mentioned system.
How do you ship my piece of art?
Normally via the US Postal Service but other carriers will be used as necessary. Usually by priority mail and if necessary by express overnight mail.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, Rick guarantees his work. If after receiving your design, you are not satisfied, just return it to Rick for either a full refund or a do over. The choice is yours.
What types of engraving techniques does the artist use?
Two types.
No. 1 As you see at the top of this homepage, a wolf design totally carved into the wood of a 4 ft. long canoe paddle.
No.2 Cast Ivory inlay. This technique is used in plates and paddles and plaques. You will see samples of this in the following pages under wooden plates and canoe paddles.
